CANBERRA, Feb 9 AAP - Opposition Leader Simon Crean declared his unshakable supportfor the Australia-US alliance today and flagged a toning down of Labor tongue-lashingof the United States.

Mr Crean rejected criticisms of anti-Americanism in Labor's stance against a UnitedStates-led attack on Iraq without United Nations support.

The US embassy in Canberra has voiced concerns about aspects of Labor's attack on thegovernment's and US support for unilateral military action.
