NSW: Toddler with head injuries airlifted to hospital

SYDNEY, Feb 18 AAP - A toddler with head injuries was tonight airlifted to hospital from
the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.

The three-year-old from Blackheath had his skull fractured when struck by a bicycle, an
NRMA Careflight spokesman said.

The boy was hit by the cyclist and thrown about three metres by the impact, the spokesman
said.

He was taken by ambulance to Blue Mountains District Hospital and later airlifted to the
New Children's Hospital at Westmead in western Sydney, where he was in a stable condition, he
said.
