Lenzing to double lyocell capacity; expands rayon fiber. (New Construction Projects).(Brief Article)(Statistical Data Included)

Lenzing says it has approved previously announced plans to build a 20,000-m.t.-year lyocell filer plant at Heiligenkreuz, Austria, doubling capacity at the site (CW may 29, p. 19). Lenzing also says its supervisory board has approved expansion of rayon fiber and pulp capacity at Lenzing, Austria, Combined expenditure on the projects will amount to about [euro]125 million ($123 million), the company says.
